What is a Lace Front Wig?

Lace front wigs are manufactured with a thin lace that extends from ear to ear across the hairline.
Lace front wigs are made similar to a regular ladies wig along the back and sides of the unit.
When you receive the unit the lace will be really long in the front, you will cut the lace along the front of the unit. The goal here is to create a new hairline. You will not cut all of the lace, as you will apply adhesive to the lace/your new hairline.
Once the unit is applied, you will have on a full hair wig - but the front of the hair wig will not be like a regular wig. The wig will appear that it is growing directly from your head.

What is a Full Lace Wig?

Full lace wigs are manufactured with a cap, and a thin lace sewn on top of the cap. Individual hairs are then sewn into the thin lace.
Full lace wigs will have lace all around the unit, and require the lace to be cut all around the unit. You will be cutting a hairline around your entire head. By doing so, once done you can wear your hair anyway you like, ponytails, up-dos etc. Think about it. With the wig, you have just cut yourself a new hairline around your entire head.
Once the unit is applied, you will have on a full hair wig - but the front, back, and sides of the hair wig will not be like a regular wig. The wig will appear that all of the hair is growing directly from your head.

What is the difference between a lace front wig and a full lace wig?

A lace front wig is not with lace around the back, so you cannot wear it in a high ponytail with back. A full lace wig is with lace all around available for being worn in a high ponytail, which will give a more natural looking than lace front wigs.

What is virgin remy hair?

Virgin hair is 100% natural and not processed free of any damage to the cuticles. We take great care on the cuticles to make it run in same direction instead of tangling, which give the hair a natural look. All of our virgin hair is remy, which is soft, natural-looking, long-lasting, and we believe you will be satisfied with our products.

What is Baby Hair?

Baby hair is fine and short hair which is knotted by hand around the perimeter in order to make the hairline more natural. We can produce baby hairs against your custom order. If you need baby hair only in the back or in the front, you can note this requirement especially in your order form.
In some demonstrations, people may pull down baby hair from longer hair for easy sight. And normal baby hair is positioned along longer hair, and can be easily combed back into the longer hair.

What are Bleached Knots?

Bleached knots mean bleaching out the knots which is caused during tying each strand of hair into lace by hand at the base of cap. By this, the knot will be a lighter and the whole lace wig will look more natural similar as its own natural hair. On dark color hair, we suggest you to use this procedure. The lace wig with bleached knots will also look natural.

What does Density refer to?

Density refers to how thin or thick your hair is. The standard and common choice is 100% with medium density.

How long can I expect the wig to last?

The life of your wig will depend on your use and care of it. If handled properly, it should last you 6 months to a year and even longer depending on your handling and use.

Do the wigs come with the cut like the picture?

No. You can choose your cut style when placing orders on website. If you want the same cut style as the pictures on our website, you should leave a message to notify us when placing your order.

What is a Widow's Peak and Natural Hairline?

A Widow's peak is M shaped hairline or Pointed Hairline. For this, your front hairlines make the shape of M or come down in point above forehead.
A natural hairline is a straight hairline. For this, the hair is growing out of scalp straightly above forehead.

Will the hairline on the lace wig have a natural look?

Yes, when you wear the lace wigs correctly according to our user guide, the hairline will have a natural look, just similar as your own hair growing from your scalp. For customer order, we recommend you to have baby hairs around the front and perimeter of the wig and make the hairline with more natural looking.

Do you charge extra for Baby Hair? Does the wig come with Baby Hair?

Our inventory wigs all have baby hair around the perimeter. It is free of charge. Also, you can select to add baby hair around front only, back only, all around the perimeter or no baby hair of custom wigs. Most people choose to add baby hair all around the perimeter which makes the lace wig have a more natural looking.

How to tell difference between human remy hair and synthetic hair?

All of our products are made of human remy hair!
If you do want to double check the material after receive the unit, here are 2 simple methods to help you tell the difference between remy human hair and synthetic fiber wig:
1. You can cut a single short hair and burn it. Human hair smells the same as your own hair when burning because it has protein inside. While synthetic fiber doesn't smell the same way.
2. You can take the wig to any professional in salon, he will tell you it's human hair without doubt.

Can I recolor or restyle the wig?

colour tip:
The lace wig is made of 100% human hair. If you are experience in coloring this type of hair, you can do this on the hair as you wish on your natural hair. We strongly recommend not to dye the lace wig since most of our products have been colored, especially wavy, curly or yaki hairs. During coloring, the hair may be over processed or damaged. We are not responsible for any damaged caused on the unit during dying. However you can dye the virgin remy hair as this lace is free of any damage to the cuticles when dying.
Style tip:
For wavy or curly hairs, these lace wigs have been already processed by a perm for wave or curl. So, it is not recommended to hot curl or flat iron the lace wigs again to avoid any over processing.
For straight hairs, Yaki perm straight and light Yak hair, you can use hot curling or flat ironing, because these hairs are naturally curly or wavy.Can I recolor or restyle the wig

Bangs info:
Some special styles of our lace wigs come with the bang which we have cut for you and you needn`t cut by yourself.
If you choose our stock wig, the default density is 100%, after cutting the bang, the front part and the crown will be a little thin. If you like a full bang with a medium hair density, you may want to choose a custom wig, then leave a message to us when place the order that you want your bang and the crown as full of 100% hair density. This is our sincere recommendation.

What is the difference between Full Lace Cap with Stretch and Full Lace Cap without Stretch?

These two caps are with lace all around the perimeter and available for you to wear your hair in updos and high ponytails. When the caps are glued down, the wig will have a natural hairline all around the perimeter. The unit can be parted anywhere as you wish.
Full lace cap with stretch will be helpful for adjustment on your head size.
Full lace cap with ear to ear stretch can be adjusted in Circumference.
Full lace cap with stretch in crown can be adjusted in crown.
Full lace cap without stretch does not have stretch and can be worn by women without hair or with scarce hair.

What is the difference between Swiss lace & French lace?

Swiss lace is finer and softer than French lace. Swiss lace is with better and natural looking to match the skin. French lace is a bit thicker and more durable for use. Both two types of laces can be dyed to match different skins.

What cap size will fit me?

We have standard dimension for small, medium and large wigs. Also, we can make caps against your requested size in order to fit your head better. Generally, medium wigs are suitable for most people and with stretch lace in the middle for flexibility of size.

What color lace is best suited to my skin tone?

You want to match the lace color with your scalp complexion not your skin tone. This is because when you part the unit, you want it to appear as your natural scalp color. So to check your scalp color part your hair and look at the color of your scalp to determine your lace color.

Does the straight hair wave up when being wet?

If it is silky straight, our answer is "Yes, it does". But after it is dry, the silky straight style will be back. The Yaki Perm Straight and Light Yaki textures do not wave up when wet.

What is Yaki Texture and what is the difference between Yaki and Silky?

Yaki texture is process we do to your wig that adds a micro kink to the hair strands to mimic Africa-American people relaxed hair.
The silky straight hair texture is the natural state of the Indian Hair as it comes from the donor. It is look like the wig of ofay. If you are Caucasian,we recommend you choose silky texture.

What is virgin remy hair?

Virgin hair is 100% natural and not under process which may cause any damage to the cuticle. We make the virgin remy hair run in one direction with natural look and avoid of tangling. Our virgin hair is all remy, which is soft, natural looking and long-life used. We trust that our virgin remy hair will satisfy you.

What is the difference between Indian Remy and Chinese Remy Hair?

Indian Remy Hair is collected directly from Indian hair donor and Chinese Remy Hair is collected directly from Chinese hair donor. Indian hair is currently the best hair on the market for wigs and weaves. It comes in different textures. These include straight, curly and wavy. The Indian hair is recommended for everyone. We recommend you choose Chinese Remy hair if you want a very straight wig, that is naturally shiny, and is slightly more course.

Can I color the hair?

The lace wig is made of 100% human hair. If you are experience in coloring this type of hair, you can do styling on the hair as you wish on your natural hair. We strongly recommend not to dye the lace wig since most of our products have been colored, especially wavy, curly or yaki hairs. During coloring, the hair may be over processed or damaged. We are not responsible for any damaged caused on the unit during dying. However you can dye the virgin remy hair as this lace is free of any damage to the cuticles when dying.

Can I do highlights on my wig by myself?

We suggest you to find someone who is experience in dying Indian Remy hair and let her to do the highlights for you. You can look for help from a stylist with experience on lace wigs and Indian Remy hair.

In order to buy the lace wigs which can perfectly fit you, you should take your measurements carefully. Before you start pin hair as flat and as tight as possible before taking the measurements. This will eliminate bulges that distort head contours.
1. Circumference: Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair line around the head and nape of the neck.
2. Front to Nape: Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck.
3. Ear to Ear across forehead: At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in front of other ear.
4. Ear to Ear over top: Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear.
5. Temple to Temple round back: From temple to temple across the back of head.
6. Nape of Neck: Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck.

How to measure the length of the wigs?

The hair length should be from the head top to the hair bottom as the hair is straight. the curl and wavy wig is process from straight wig, so in the same length, curl and wavy wig will be shorter by 1"-2" (it depends on how deep the curl is) than straight wig.

Who are suitable for these wigs?

These wigs are suitable for everyone including young and old people, also adults, teenagers and children. Also they are available for cancer patients, alopecia patients and any patients with hair loss caused by chemotherapy or scalp disease.

Can I wear this wig if my head is full of hair?

Yes, you can also wear the hair after braiding your own hair in small cornrows by beehive or straight back. Also you can wrap your hair back simply.

Can I wear this wig if my head is with no hair absolutely?

Yes. These wigs are perfect choice for women with hair loss caused by cancer, alopecia and so on. Many women will renew their confidence when wearing full lace wig.

Do I have to wear a wig cap with the wig?

No, you do not need to use any wig caps under the wig. You can easily part your own hair at the same point as your wig before wearing the unit, which will strengthen your parting on the wig while use.

Can I attach the wig by myself without any help in the salon?

How long can I wear the wig at a time?

This is decided on many aspects: skin type, adhesive strength, climate, etc. For some customers, they can wear their wig around one or two weeks at a time. As it is very simple to apply and remove the wigs, most customers wear their wigs for one week and then remove for cleaning lace and caring own hair. It is not recommended to remove the wigs daily, since this will probably stress the lace frequently and cause shorter useful life of your wigs.

Can I do hot curling or flat ironing on the wavy or curly hairs?

No. For wavy or curly hairs, these lace wigs have been already processed by a perm for wave or curl. So, it is not recommended to hot curl or flat iron the lace wigs again to avoid any over processing. For straight, Yaki perm straight and light Yak hair, you can use hot curling or flat ironing, because these hairs are naturally curly or wavy.

Why do straightening wavy/curly hair cause damage to your wig produced by human hair?

You may use the perm to straightening your wavy or curly hair for long-lasting, however, heating on perm might cause damage to your hair.

Can I perm the wig?

Our lace wig is made by 100% human hair and available for any styling like your own hair. You can choose to perm the wig as you wish. However, we cannot give any suggestions how you can perm the wig. You shall choose the procedure you learned to style the hair.

Can I use blow dryer to dry my hair after washing?

No, we do recommend you to let your hair dry naturally, since blow dryer may cause damage to your hair.

Will my wig fall off when the wind blowing?

No, when attached with glue or tape the wig will be very secure.

Will the glues and tapes cause damage to my skin?

We suggest you to do a skin test before use if you are with sensitive skin. Most people are all right with the glues and tapes. However, if you have sensitive skin, we advise you to start with the Spirit Gum or Hollisters Medical Adhesive.

Is the wig supplied with glue and other accessories?

No. The wig is not supplied with free and other accessories, only user instructions in the package.

What kind of glue can I use if I'm with sensitive skin?

If you are with sensitive skin, we advise you to start from the Spirit Gum or Hollisters Medical Adhesive, which can be bought on the internet. We suggest you to do a skin test before use if you are with sensitive skin. Most people are all right with the glues and tapes.

Can I shower or swim with lace wig on?

Yes, you definitely can. Well! You had better put waterproof adhesive or tape on your lace cap when you swim. It is recommended you to wash it after you swim with it. Anyway, you can exercise in your wig.

How can I care on our hair after swimming?

You can wear your lace wig when swimming. However, your hair may be damaged by chlorine and salt water and these damages cannot be repaired. So, it is suggested not to make your expensive lace wig touched with chlorine or salt water. If you suggest to do this, you should make sure that the hair will be washed and deep conditioned once after your swimming.

Is the wig available for being parted as I wish?

Yes, all our lace wigs can be parted anywhere, this is free styled. Our wigs are all freestyle.

Can I wear my lace wig in a high ponytail?

Yes, you can wear your wig in a high ponytail once you apply around your full perimeter with adhesives. You will need a cap construction that is made with lace around the perimeter.

Will my hairline look natural?

When you apply the wigs correctly, the hair will be natural looking, like growing from your scalp.
For custom order, we suggest you to choose baby hair and add it around the front and perimeter of the wig, so that the hairline will be looking more natural.

How to take care of lace wigs?

A. Hair Care Instructions for full lace wig
     1. Keep the hair clean. We suggest that you wash the hair at least once or twice a week with warm or cold water. Please wash the hair immediately after swimming, spa, exercise, and etc. When dirt and sweat accumulate, hair tangles. Too much leave-in conditioners and other hair care products will create a build up on the hair and will cause it to tangle faster. If the hair feels dry or heavy with build up, wash it with good shampoo & conditioner.
    2. Before washing the hair, spray mixture of conditioner and water and brush the hair from bottom up. You must gradually wet the hair down and brush it gently before you completely wash the hair. If the hair is very dry and a lot of water is added at once, hair will swell up like sponge and tangle! Therefore, it is important to gradually wet the hair and brush it.
    3. After wetting the hair, add shampoo and conditioner and brush thoroughly. Be sure to wash and brush the hair in one direction. Rinse the hair completely with water and towel dry. It is best to air dry the hair but you can also blow-dry with low to medium heat.
    4. Make sure you brush the hair daily and apply some leave-in conditioners so that the hair is soft and moist. A good leave-in hair treatment can keep the hair from drying. But remember not to put too much otherwise there will be a build up and make the hair feel too heavy. If the hair feels too dry or heavy with too much hair care products, you should wash the hair completely by following steps 2 and 3.
    5. When swimming, always wear a cap to prevent prolong exposure to chlorine or salt water which causes the hair to tangle. Always wash the hair right away with shampoo and conditioner after swimming in both types of water. When going to the spa, the hair should be brushed out completely and should be wrapped in a cold wet towel.
    6. Make couple of big braids when going to sleep, swim, or exercise (please untangle the hair before making the braids). NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR. Make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed.
    7. You can also make a leave-in conditioner at home by diluting conditioner (10%) with water (90%). Apply the mixture lightly onto your hair and brush the hair from the end to the top near the scalp. Although it is important to apply leave-in conditioners to keep the hair from dryness, it is important to keep the hair clean by washing the hair about twice a week so that it will not create a build up.
    8. It would be advisable NOT TO TINT, COLOR, PERM OR DO ANY EXTRA CHEMICAL PROCESSES because it has already been treated. Please be extra careful with blonde and other light colored hair. They are more chemically processed than the dark hair. Therefore, we will not be responsible for the outcome.
    9. Please check the hair before you use the hair. Be certain that the hair texture, color, length, and quality are what you want. We will not be responsible for the hair if it is not in original condition. For the WET & WAVE hair such as the French Refined and the European Wave, you may test the curl by wetting a small portion away from the rest. Place the hair on a desk, pull a small portion away from the rest, spray some water, and let it soak for about 15 seconds. Hold the top of the hair while it is on the desk and gently brush the wet portion from the bottom and watch it wave. Towel dry and scrunch it to wave up more.
    10. Some hair comes out form the wefts easier than others (e.g. silky hair). In cases like this, you may glue or reinforce the weft before putting it on.

B. Washing & Conditioning your Hair System
Shampooing and conditioning your hair system is not like shampooing your natural hair. Rubbing shampoo into your hair system as if it were naturally growing hair will cause the hair to tangle.
Here's the step-by-step method we've found best for giving your hair system a professional shampooing and conditioning.
The method we recommend will prevent tangling, and can be performed either on a plastic head mold or when you're wearing your system in the shower.

How shall I prevent the lace wig from tangling?

You may choose a satin pillowcase for night sleep in order to avoid friction. Cotton pillowcases with fibers rub against your hair, oppositely, satin pillowcases let the hair slip freely. Also for cheaper cost, you can place a satin petticoat or nightie over your cotton pillows. However, the effects will be also obviously different. Do not wear any barrettes or clips on your hair overnight as these accessories will be difficult to remove after one night. Also during washing hair, tangles may be also created due to scrubbing the hair. Before showering, you need to detangle the hair and apply Silicon Mix Revitalizing Shampoo on your scalp. If you rinse the Silicon Mix Revitalizing Shampoo onto the hair enough, there is no need to scrub the hair, and by this, the hair will be cleaned well. Later, you shall comb through your hair with a wide-toothed comb and make the conditioner rinse onto your hair. By this way, you do not need to take detangling on wet hair. Let the hair dry naturally instead of rubbing it by a towel.
Keep Your Hair Tied Up: Loose hair easily get tangled and damaged due to rubbing with your clothes and being caught by straps of handbags. The most proper to protect hair from tangling is to make braids. You may practice braiding your hair during the night. When you have been already with the skill for braids, you can wear braids in various types during the day.
Meanwhile, buns are also way for protection of hair from tangles. By this method, we can keep short hair out of harmfulness.
Removing Knots From Hair: Bobble-tipped brushes might cause damage to your hair and can not remove any knots as you suppose. You shall use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to detangle the hair starting from the bottom several inches to up towards. You can begin with the bottom of a knot and remove it out, instead of pulling it widely. After detangling, you shall take a boar bristle brush for polishing and protecting your hair from damage.

How can I avoid my hair from shedding?

Here are some tips helpful on prevention of shedding hair overfull.
It is all right for light shedding, but if the hair shedding on your full lace wig is more than our natural hair, this will be abnormal.
Be sure NOT TO apply any products including alcohol onto the hair of your full lace wig, such as some kinds of hair spray, because these improper products will lead to damage the hair and hair shedding will be found easily.
You may braid up the hair of your full lace wig or tie it in a ponytail before going to sleep so as to avoid any tangles. You'd better to use a scarf on your head or a hair bonnet when sleeping, which will reduce less breaking and shedding of the hair for your full lace wig.
Remember that chlorine and salt water may cause damage to the hair of full lace wig, so you need to wear a swim cap during swimming or wash the full lace wig after swimming to avoid chlorine and salt water left on the hair of your wig. After washing, use TDi Knot & Tape Tab Sealer to seal the knots onto the inside of your lace wig cap again in order to firm the knots on each hair tile for protection from shedding

Will I be notified when my order is shipped?

When your wig has been shipped, a notification will be sent to the email address you provided; the tracking number will be attached in the email. Then you can check the status of shipment.

Can I change the shipping address when I ordered?

If you want to change your shipping address, you should send email to tell us in time, the limited time as blow:
in stock wigs: in 24 hours
custom wigs: in 15 days
If you don't tell us in the time frame ,we will ship your order to your initial shipping address, if you can not receive it we are not responsible for it.

Can orders be delivered to a P.O. Box or APO/FPO address?

We can not deliver orders to P.O. Box or APO/FPO address.

Can I place a rush order?

Yes, you can. However, this is only available for custom orders and extra charge shall be paid for the rush orders. Normal production time is 24-26 working days and rush order is 20-22 working days.

How can I get the VIP customer qualification?

To become a VIP customer, your accumulated shopping value needs to reach $200.

Free Return & Exchange Policy

We provide free exchange & return service.Requests for exchange or return must be made within 2 business days since you sign for your goods. Overdue this item is not available.Exchanges or returns must be pre¨Cauthorized by owigs.com with a permission email. Without the permission email, the item(s) will incur a 50% unauthorized product fee.

To ensure your exchange or return goes smoothly, please do the following only after you are sure your item(s) is eligible:

1. Email service@owigs.com to request your exchange. You will receive an email response from us with our questions or instructions on how to exchange and return the product. Please allow up to 2 business days for response.

Exchange Policy

1. Owigs.com do not accept any subjective and unreasonable reason of customer to request for exchange. This promise is applied for the in stock lace wigs, not include any used wigs, custom lace wigs, special offer products or clearance sale. Please make sure Merchandise is in new condition, unused, uncut and in original package. Please be aware: Unauthorized and ineligible returns will incur a 50% unauthorized product return fee.

2. Customers who want to exchange can make application only one time for one order. Please make sure all the information of exchange unit is right!

3. Please send pictures of the lace wig to us when you decide to make exchange, because we should check the condition of the lace wig.

4. The exchange can be done in the same style, if you want to exchange the different style or the wig in different length and so on, you should pay the price difference if any.

5. There won't be any re-stocking fee charged for exchange.

6. For the shipping fee, in order to save you money, we can give you our ups account to let you send your wig back, and you should pay $40 to our PayPal account as the fee of sending the wig back via our ups account (if you send it by yourself via ups or DHL, but it will cost $90~$110)

7. After we confirm your exchange request, you can send the wig back.

Return Policy

1. Owigs.com do not accept any subjective and unreasonable reason of customer to request for return. 3. For return case, you are required to send the wig by yourself. After we get the returned order, your refund of original payment will be back to your account; $50 will be deducted from the original total. this 50 dollars is for the previous shipping that you need to repay us if you want to return your order.

4. When you send the wig back, if you are in the USA, you may choose USPS, which should be very cheap. the shipping fee can be as low as $10~20. but it will take about 4-5 weeks to get to us. So this is not recommended to ship the wig back which is to be exchanged, but return case is available.

5. After we confirm your return request, you can send the wig back with it.

Items Repair Policy

1. If you are our VIP customer, you can get the service of one wig maintenance (once) in 6 months.(Shipping fee not included)
2. Other free repair services include: Wig cleaning and Repair bad tangles.
3. Other cases, you need pay us repairing fee which will be depended on the condition of your wig.
4. For each repair unit, customers need to afford shipping charges. you can send the wig by yourself or use our ups, so $20 or $50 will be charged according to your choice.
5. Sending pictures to us before you sending the wig back for repair so that we can check the condition of the wig.
6. Repairing a wig has the same process as making a new custom wig, so in common cases, if your wig is shedding, it will take about 30~32 working days.
7. After we confirm your repair request, you can send the wig back with it.

Modification& Cancel order Policy

No extra service fee will be charged for any changes or modifications you request to your order after the order is placed. This includes item, color, payment, shipping, or coupon redemption changes. But you need pay the price difference if any. The requests for changes to orders will be accepted within 24 hours after placing the order.
